Prof. Subudhi Recommends Rotating Conference Among IITs and NITs for Wider Reach

The 5th Electric Power and Renewable Energy Conference (EPREC-2024) showcased over 100 research papers, emphasizing renewable energy advancements.

JAMSHEDPUR – The 5th Electric Power and Renewable Energy Conference (EPREC-2024) highlighted advancements in renewable energy.

The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony.

Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi, Director of NIT Warangal, was the chief guest.

He stressed the importance of renewable energy and Microgrids for modern load conditions.

Prof. Subudhi commended EPREC for its focus on Control Systems, Power Electronics, and Soft Computing Applications.

He proposed rotating the conference among IITs and NITs to enhance its global presence.

Prof. Goutam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur, responded to feedback to improve the conference’s societal impact.

Guests of honor included Prof. P. K. Sadhu from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and Prof. Debasish Chaterjee from Jadavpur University.

They praised NIT Jamshedpur’s research initiatives.

Prof. U. K. Sinha, the general chair of EPREC, thanked the organizing committee members.

Key members were Dr. Omhari Gupta, Dr. Arvind Kumar Prajapati, Dr. Ravi Bhushan, Dr. Simanta Kumar Samal, Dr. M.K. Sarkar, Dr. Supriyo Das, and Dr. Jitendra Kumar.

Special mentions were made of Dr. Shailendra Kumar from IIT Bhilai and Dr. Krishna Murari from the University of Toledo, USA.

The event included participation from faculty, students, and external delegates.

Best paper awards went to Subhabrata Pal (IIT Roorkee), Dr. Somesh Chaterjee (Nirma University), Rishi Raj Ranjan (NIT Jamshedpur), and Prof. Pratul Arvind (ADGIPS, New Delhi).

EPREC-2024 featured 101 research papers from global authors.

This reinforced its status as a leading platform for energy research discussions.
