Additional Chief Electoral Officer Neha Arora Claims Smooth Voting Amid Technical Issues
Technical issues during voting have led to the replacement of several ballot units, control units, and VVPATs across Jharkhand.
RANCHI – Jharkhand State Additional Chief Electoral Officer Neha Arora reported that 14 ballot units, 8 control units, and 43 VVPATs have been replaced due to technical glitches during the voting process.
In Dhanbad, 6 ballot units, 4 control units, and 8 VVPATs were changed.
Giridih saw the replacement of 14 VVPATs.
Jamshedpur had 4 ballot units, 2 control units, and 14 VVPATs replaced.
In Ranchi, 4 ballot units, 2 control units, and 7 VVPATs were changed.
Arora assured that voting would continue peacefully despite the technical issues.
She further detailed that an additional 12 ballot units, 8 control units, and 11 VVPATs were replaced in Dhanbad.
Giridih experienced the replacement of 18 ballot units, 4 control units, and 14 VVPATs.
In Jamshedpur, 8 ballot units, 7 control units, and 14 VVPATs were changed.
Ranchi saw the highest replacement with 16 ballot units, 12 control units, and 16 VVPATs.
The electoral authorities are committed to ensuring a smooth voting process despite the technical challenges.
