Voter Turnout in Jamshedpur Reaches 43.44% in Sixth Phase of Lok Sabha Elections
Voting in Jharkhand has seen significant participation, with 42.54% turnout recorded by 1 PM in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
RANCHI – In the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Jharkhand reported a voter turnout of 42.54% by 1 PM.
The turnout in Jamshedpur stood at 43.44%.
Other key constituencies reported the following figures: Ranchi at 41.83%, Dhanbad at 39.83%, and Giridih at 45.82%.
The statewide average shows active voter engagement in the democratic process.
In the assembly segments of Jamshedpur, Baharagora saw the highest turnout with 51.67%, followed by Ghatshila at 49.16%, and Potka at 46.55%.
East Jamshedpur recorded a turnout of 36.15%, while West Jamshedpur saw 37.41%.
Jugsalai reported 44.27% turnout.
The voter turnout in Ranchi’s assembly segments included Hatia at 40.00%, Ichagarh at 54.87%, and Kanke at 40.11%.
Khijri recorded 42.11%, Ranchi at 34.10%, and Silly at 44.75%.
Dhanbad’s assembly segments saw Bokaro at 35.10%, Chandankiyari at 44.45%, and Dhanbad at 36.79%.
Jharia and Nirsa recorded 38.67% and 43.86%, respectively, while Sindri reported 44.97%.
In Giridih, Dumri had a turnout of 50.07%, Giridih at 50.44%, and Gomia at 45.54%.
Tundi saw 44.25% voter turnout.
Technical issues were also addressed during the voting process.
By 11 AM, 14 ballot units, 8 control units, and 43 VVPATs were replaced across four Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand.
Ranchi saw the replacement of 4 ballot units, 2 control units, and 7 VVPATs.
Jamshedpur replaced 4 ballot units, 2 control units, and 14 VVPATs.
Giridih replaced 14 VVPATs, while Dhanbad saw the replacement of 6 ballot units, 4 control units, and 8 VVPATs.
These technical adjustments ensured the smooth conduct of the election process.
