Delegation Seeks Resolution for Medicine Shortages for Ex-Servicemen
A delegation from the Purva Sainik Seva Parishad of Jamshedpur met with the OIC to address the shortage of medicines for ex-servicemen under the ECHS scheme.
JAMSHEDPUR – A delegation from the Purva Sainik Seva Parishad of Jamshedpur met with the Officer In Charge (OIC) on Monday to discuss issues faced by ex-servicemen regarding the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS).
The delegation highlighted the non-availability of medicines for ex-servicemen under the ECHS scheme.
The council members noted that this issue is not prevalent in other regions like it is in Jamshedpur.
During the meeting, the OIC contacted the MH Commandant in their presence and assured them that efforts would be made to provide the required medicines within 7 days.
The OIC also provided the delegation with copies of letters related to soldier welfare.
It was decided that a delegation from the council would meet the OIC monthly to discuss ongoing ECHS issues.
The delegation included Vinay Yadav, District President of the organization, and Minister of State Siddhanth Singh.
Other members present were Awadhesh Kumar, Satyendra Kumar Singh, SK Singh, Anil Kumar Singh, Manoj Kumar Singh, Kamlesh Kumar, Niranjan Singh, Praveen Kumar Pandey, Rajiv Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Dalbir Singh, KN Singh, Bharat Kishore Kumar, Kundan Singh, Ramesh Prasad, Nirmal Kumar, and other ex-servicemen.
The meeting underscored the need for timely access to essential medicines for ex-servicemen.
The council members expressed their commitment to continuing their advocacy for better healthcare services under the ECHS scheme.
The OIC’s assurance has provided a sense of hope to the ex-servicemen awaiting necessary medications.
Regular meetings between the council and the OIC aim to ensure continuous improvements in the ECHS services.
The initiative reflects the ongoing efforts to address the concerns of ex-servicemen in Jamshedpur.
The Purva Sainik Seva Parishad will keep monitoring the situation to ensure the fulfillment of the commitments made during the meeting.
