Vijaya Garden Society Birsanagar Faces Penalty Warning for Dengue Breeding Grounds

Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) issues notice to Vijaya Garden Society management, warning of a ₹500 fine per flat for inadequate dengue prevention measures.

Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has issued a notice to the management of Vijaya Garden Society in Birsanagar and 25 plot owners for failing to prevent dengue breeding grounds.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has warned the management of Vijaya Garden Society in Birsanagar and 25 plot owners of a ₹500 penalty per flat if they do not take immediate action to prevent dengue breeding grounds.

The warning comes after a JNAC team visited the society on August 13 to investigate reports of multiple dengue cases among residents.

The society, which comprises over 2,500 flats, was found to have significant waterlogging, leading to the presence of a large number of dengue larvae.

During the inspection, it was revealed that none of the flats in Vijaya Garden are connected to JNAC’s door-to-door garbage collection service.

In response, the JNAC has issued a notice to the society management, instructing them to carry out special cleaning, including the application of bleaching powder, fogging, and proper drainage management.

The JNAC has also asked for geo-tagged photos as evidence of compliance.

Failure to adhere to these instructions will result in a fine of ₹500 per flat.

This is not the first time the society has faced penalties; last year, the JNAC imposed a fine of ₹1.2 lakh on the Vijaya Garden Society management for similar violations.
