Increased Security Deployment for Lok Sabha Elections in Jamshedpur Impacts PCR Vehicles
Security measures heighten in East Singhbhum as jawans mobilize for election duty, impacting PCR vehicles.
The Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand have led to a shift in police resources to ensure a secure voting process.
JAMSHEDPUR – With the Lok Sabha elections approaching in Jharkhand, 1,450 jawans have been deployed from Jamshedpur to East Singhbhum district for election duties.
This mobilization significantly affects the availability of Police Control Room (PCR) vehicles.
Currently, 26 PCR vehicles have been stationed at the Central Control Room (CCR), leaving just seven vehicles for patrolling the city.
These remaining vehicles operate flexibly across Jamshedpur, responding to incidents as they occur.
City security is being managed by ASI rank officers from the Home Guard and other district forces.
A flexible patrol strategy has been implemented to address the shortage, covering all of Jamshedpur.
Additionally, buses near the Mango bus stand have been impounded for transporting jawans.
These buses will be temporarily used for election logistics and returned to service afterward.
