DC, SSP inspect Kharkai check-post, strict action against social distancing violators from Thursday

Regular checking at check-posts and other spots in city from Thursday

Jamshedpur: Corona crisis is now getting serious in the city. The district administration is trying hard to cope with the rapid spread of the virus.

The DC of East Singhbhum Suraj Kumar, SSP M Tamil Vanan and other senior officials of administration and police are going to different areas of the city and are appealing to the people to not venture out of their houses needlessly.

Meanwhile, Wednesday late evening the DC Suraj Kumar and SSP M Tamil Vanan reached Khakari check-post at Bistupur bridge that links the city with Adityapur.

The DC himself watched the movement of the people wandering about and then asked many of them to return.

The DC has made it clear that from Thursday itself regular checking would be done at the check post and fines would also be imposed on those who violate the social distancing norms.

It may be added here that the Corona graph is going upward steadily in the city and the total number of infections is about to reach 1700.

Deaths too are happening with regularity in the district keeping the district administration on toes.
