Saryu Roy Assures Birsanagar Residents of Integrated Drain Development Scheme

Jamshedpur East MLA Promises to Address Drainage Issues, Improve PM Awas Quality and Pace

Saryu Roy, the MLA from Jamshedpur East, has identified drainage as the most pressing issue faced by the residents of Birsanagar, a locality situated on uneven terrain within his constituency.

JAMSHEDPUR – During his visit to Birsanagar on Tuesday morning, Jamshedpur East Assembly MLA Saryu Roy acknowledged that the existing drainage system in the area, built on high and low ground, fails to effectively remove water from the houses.

He noted that water logging occurs in low-lying and deep areas during the rainy season, with water entering homes instead of flowing through the rains.

Roy assured the citizens of Birsanagar that he would implement the Integrated DRoyn Development Scheme and propose it to the Jamshedpur Axis and District Administration as soon as the election code of conduct concludes.

From 7 to 10 am, Roy toured various areas of Birsanagar on foot, interacting with residents and listening to their concerns.

He observed that almost all the main roads in Birsanagar have become dilapidated, with work ongoing in the remaining areas, and promised to start the construction of small roads and streets after the code of conduct ends.

The residents of Birsanagar warmly welcomed Roy with flower garlands, expressing their gratitude for the road construction efforts.

Roy assured them of his commitment to transforming Birsanagar into the most beautiful and ideal colony not only in Jamshedpur but also in Jharkhand, and mentioned his efforts to secure adequate funds from the government for this purpose.

During his visit to the PM residence area under construction in Birsanagar, Roy noted the slow pace of work and the need to improve the quality of bricks and other building materials.

He highlighted that drainage would become the biggest challenge for the PM residence area, as many sections have been built at different elevations.

Roy announced his intention to summon organizations like the Urban Development Department, Jamshedpur Access, and JUDCO before the Assembly Committee after June 4 to review the progress and plan of the PM Awas project.
