DAV Public School Hosts Voter Awareness Event with Education Dignitary
Nirmala Kumari Barelia Speaks on Voter Literacy and Education Initiatives in Jamshedpur
DAV Public School in Bistupur, Jamshedpur, organized a Voter Awareness Programme featuring Regional Joint Director of Education for Kolhan, Smt. Nirmala Kumari Barelia. The event aimed to bolster voter literacy among students and the community.
JAMSHEDPUR – On 2nd May 2024, DAV Public School, Bistupur, hosted a significant Voter Awareness Programme to educate and encourage ethical voting practices among the youth and their families.
Smt. Nirmala Kumari Barelia, accompanied by other dignitaries, attended this educational initiative.
The event saw the participation of high school students and faculty, emphasizing the importance of informed and ethical voting.
The ceremony included the Voters’ Oath, led by the school Principal, Mrs. Pragya Singh, reinforcing the commitment to responsible citizenship.
In her address, Mrs. Barelia highlighted the critical role of voter literacy in strengthening democracy and urged students to extend this knowledge to their families and communities.
She commended the school for its efforts to ensure student well-being through amenities like safe drinking water during peak summer.
Further, Mrs. Barelia celebrated the notable academic success of East Singhbhum district, which achieved a 94% pass rate in the recent JAC Board Class X Examination.
She also praised the local education department’s initiatives to recognize and encourage academic excellence under the CBSE curriculum.
Additionally, she recommended implementing regular doubt clearance sessions and remedial classes to further support student learning.
