Rajnath Singh Addresses Rally in Khunti as Arjun Munda Files Nomination
Rajnath Singh Supports Munda’s Candidacy with Fervent Speech in Khunti
Arjun Munda, a key BJP leader, filed his nomination for the Khunti Lok Sabha seat, marking a significant moment in the election cycle with strong backing from the NDA and senior leaders.
KHUNTI – In a strategic bid for the Khunti constituency, Arjun Munda submitted his nomination papers on Tuesday, amidst a vibrant atmosphere and a series of events that underscored the BJP’s electoral ambitions.
The ceremony was followed by a dynamic public meeting where Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, amidst a large gathering, delivered a fervent speech criticizing the Congress party’s approach to secularism and its impact on communal harmony.
Singh accused the Congress of facilitating the removal of reservation quotas for SC/STs at major institutions, presenting this as indicative of the party’s broader failings.
Highlighting the contrast in leadership styles, Singh pointed to the absence of corruption charges against former BJP Chief Ministers of Jharkhand, in stark comparison to the recent controversies surrounding Hemant Soren.
During his speech, Singh also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomatic efforts, which he claimed were instrumental in securing a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, thereby aiding the evacuation of Indian students.
Preceding the nomination, Munda was part of a high-energy roadshow, which saw him accompanied by key figures like BJP state president Babulal Marandi and AJSU chief Sudesh Mahato, demonstrating widespread support within the party.
A local party worker expressed, "Arjun Munda’s nomination is not just a formality but a statement of our resolve and readiness for the elections."
