Jamshedpur’s political landscape is set for some definitive moves as Chief Minister Champai Soren confirms Joba Manjhi’s unchangeable candidacy from Singhbhum.
JAMSHEDPUR – Chief Minister Champai Soren has confirmed that Joba Manjhi will remain the Singhbhum candidate, emphasizing stability in the party’s choice ahead of upcoming elections.
He announced that the JMM candidate for Jamshedpur will be revealed after the Ram Navami celebrations, assuring that the choice would be from within the JMM family.
The confirmation came during Soren’s visit to Adityapur, where he engaged with local officials and party members at a series of meetings and a worker conference.
During his visit, the Chief Minister participated in discussions first at Gamharia and later at Hotel Novanta.
The event also saw local workers welcoming Soren with traditional gestures of respect, including flower garlands and bouquets.
Following the formal greetings, Soren evaluated the electoral preparedness, interacting directly with booth in-charges and presidents spanning wards 11 to 35 of the Municipal Corporation.
He expressed confidence in the political climate, predicting a favorable outcome for the Grand Alliance across 14 seats in the region.
