JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant has achieved a remarkable production milestone, manufacturing over one lakh vehicles during the 2023-24 financial year. This achievement was facilitated by the efficient logistics of the Telco Transport Convey Association (TTCA).
The company released this news in conjunction with its sales figures for March, revealing a robust production capability.
Domestic sales in March saw a modest increase, with a two percent rise in wholesale units compared to the same month in the previous year.
The passenger vehicle segment, including electric vehicles, experienced a 14 percent growth in March, underscoring the rising demand for Tata Motors‘ vehicles.
However, the commercial vehicle segment witnessed a ten percent drop in sales in March, indicating a slight downturn in this market sector.
Overall, the financial year ending March 31, 2024, saw Tata Motors report a two percent increase in domestic wholesale sales, reaching a total of 9,49,015 units.
Passenger vehicle sales throughout the year demonstrated a six percent growth, reflecting the company’s strong performance in this segment.
