Tata Motors Adjusts April Plant Schedule, to Open on Sunday

Tata Motors has made an adjustment to its operational schedule for April to accommodate the Eid holiday on April 11, ensuring continuous operations. The decision follows a recent circular issued by the company, detailing the shift in the weekly day off from Sunday, April 14, to Wednesday, April 11, to respect the observance of Eid as a paid holiday.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Motors announces changes to April operation schedule.

The Jamshedpur plant of the company, which used to be closed on Sundays in accordance with the annual schedule, would now be operational on Sunday, 14th April 2013.

This is being done so that the workforce gets to observe Eid, scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, as a paid holiday.

The adjustment is a shift from the regular weekly off and enables the plant to have uninterrupted operations during this period.

Sources said that this clearly is done as a decision of Tata Motors to respect cultural practices and to make sure that employees are satisfied in achieving productivity.
