Tata Motors Enhances Apprenticeship Access
Children of employees to benefit from revamped program
Tata Motors outlines plans for its apprentice exam in April, incorporating a groundbreaking initiative for employees’ children, integrating education and job prospects within the company framework.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Motors has revealed its intentions to hold the apprentice exam in April, creating a significant pathway for potential candidates.
This initiative coincides with the decision to reintroduce apprentices based on prior agreements, now extending the opportunity to employees’ children.
Negotiations led by Tata Motors Union President Gurmeet Singh Tote, General Secretary RK Singh, and advisor Praveen Singh have culminated in this inclusive approach.
This move allows for the children of employees to enter apprenticeships, leading to secure employment at Tata Motors.
Included in the agreement are provisions for diploma and engineering courses for the apprentices, with assignments located in Jamshedpur.
Registration for the children of employees, which had been suspended for several years, will open in April.
This development represents a significant opportunity for re-engagement.
Furthermore, the process to regularize temporary employees is expected to conclude by April, opening additional job opportunities for the employees’ children.
To promote stability and retain its workforce, Tata Motors has introduced policies to prevent the transfer of employees, ensuring their continuation in Jamshedpur.
