JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand’s Governor orders investigation into alleged anomalous activities by an unauthorized union at the Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant, following allegations by the Telco Workers Union.
The Governor has committed to taking rapid action and has initiated an inquiry into the allegations presented by the Telco Workers Union officials.
Telco Workers Union representatives provided detailed accounts of the unauthorized union’s fraudulent actions and its detrimental impact on workers’ rights.
Allegations include a fake agreement for the regularization of temporary workers and a demand for back wages exceeding Rs. 1500 crore, reportedly violating Bombay High Court orders.
The complaint, lodged by the Telco Workers Union, accuses the unauthorized union of fraudulent agreement signing and collusion with corrupt Labor Department officials.
Officials from the Telco Workers Union, including General Secretary Prakash Kumar, highlighted the case to the Governor during a 45-minute meeting at Raj Bhavan.
The Telco Workers Union’s complaint has prompted the Governor of Jharkhand to scrutinize the alleged malpractices within the Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant.
