Speeding Car Hits Children in Golmuri, Locals Block Road in Protest
A severe car accident in Jamshedpur’s Golmuri area injured two children, leading to a public blockade and the vandalism of the vehicle involved.
JAMSHEDPUR – A devastating incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in the Slag Road area under Golmuri police jurisdiction, where a speeding car struck a seven-month-old girl, Kavya, and her brother, Rajeev Kumar.
The accident provoked immediate outrage among the locals, who responded by obstructing the road and damaging the car.
Upon the arrival of the police, the crowd’s anger escalated, resulting in the assault of three youths from the car, despite one individual, the driver, fleeing the scene.
Both injured children were promptly taken to MGM Hospital for medical attention.
Despite law enforcement’s intervention, the agitated crowd continued to attack the youths until the police managed to rescue them and secure them at the police station.
This incident has heightened tensions in the area, reflecting the community’s growing concerns over road safety and the consequences of reckless driving.
