Storms and Rain Forecasted for Jharkhand

The meteorological department warns of stormy weather and rainfall in Jharkhand over the next few days.

RANCHI – Jharkhand residents are advised to prepare for stormy conditions, with the meteorological department predicting rainfall and strong winds across the state in the coming 2-3 days.

The forecast highlights the possibility of light rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, particularly affecting districts such as Gumla, Lohardaga, Latehar, and Palamu.

Ranchi witnessed a significant temperature drop of 11 degrees Celsius following recent rains, with the maximum temperature settling at 27.2 degrees Celsius, down from 38 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologist Abhishek Anand has indicated that cloudy conditions are expected to persist, with rainfall predicted in the southern and central regions from April 10th to 12th.

The weather department has issued an alert for strong winds and thunderstorms through April 11th, extending the weather warning until April 12th.

Recent days have seen varying intensities of rainfall across the state, with Kurdega in Simdega experiencing the highest rainfall of 5.4 mm, while Godda reported the highest temperature at 40.2 degrees Celsius.

Residents are urged to stay cautious and prepared for the predicted adverse weather conditions, which could include severe thunderstorms and potential disruptions.
