Corona claims 4 more lives in Jharkhand on Saturday, total deaths 1,034 now

151 new cases detected, 205 cured too

Ranchi: In a shocking and sudden spurt in the number of deaths caused by coronavirus in Jharkhand, 4 deaths were reported in the state on Saturday taking the total death toll to 1034. 1 death each was reported from Dhanbad, Garhwa, Palamu and Ramgarh districts of the state.

On Saturday, 4 deaths have been reported in the state due to coronavirus showing a disturbing sign for the state, even while the number of daily deaths have come down in the country.

The recovery rate in the state is at 97.69%, while the mortality rate is at 0.89%.

As per official data, 151 new cases have been detected in the state on Saturday, taking the number of total infections to 1,15,392. Out of these, 1,12,734 have already been cured. On Saturday too, 205 patients have been cured and discharged.

For now, the state has 1,624 active cases of coronavirus infection, while the deaths have reached the figure of 1034.

Till date, 48,26,022 samples have been tested in the district.
