JAMSHEDPUR – Brahmananda Narayana Hospital marked World Heart Day with a walkathon aimed at promoting heart health awareness.

The event, held on September 29, drew hundreds of participants to Jubilee Park.

Moreover, the walkathon started and concluded at the park’s Lake Gate.

Senior Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Perwaiz Alam shared crucial insights on heart disease prevention.

Additionally, Cardiologists Dr. Abhay Krishna, Dr. Ajay Agarwal, and Dr. Akhlaq Ahmed offered expert advice.

Pediatric Cardiologist Dr. Anwesha Mukherjee also contributed to the educational aspect of the event.

The specialists emphasized the importance of regular exercise and a balanced diet.

Furthermore, they stressed the need for effective stress management and avoiding tobacco use.

Several prominent medical professionals attended the walkathon.

Clinical Director Dr. M.L. Ali and Medical Superintendent Dr. Mukesh Kumar were among the attendees.

Meanwhile, Sr. Neurologist Dr. Arun Kumar and Cardiologists Dr. Santosh Gupta and Dr. Partho Majumdar joined the event.

Cancer Specialist Dr. Amit Kumar also participated in the heart health initiative.

Facility Director Vinit Raj highlighted the growing concern of heart disease in society.

He emphasized the need for an active lifestyle to combat this health issue.

On the other hand, the hospital offered free health checkups to participants.

These checkups included blood pressure and sugar level tests.
