JAMSHEDPUR – With temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius, Loyola School in Bistupur has taken proactive steps to protect its students from the scorching heat by implementing revised school timings, effective from Thursday, April 4.

Under the new schedule, nursery and LKG students will report to school at 8:00 am and be dismissed at 10:30 am, while classes for students from UKG to 5th grade will begin at 7:00 am and conclude at 11:45 am.

Students from classes 6 to 12 will have adjusted timings, with reporting at 6:45 am and departure at 12:00 pm, to minimize their exposure to the intense heat during the peak hours of the day.

The decision to modify school timings comes in the wake of concerns raised by the Jamshedpur Parents Association, which submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner highlighting their apprehensions about the anticipated heat wave in the region.
