Repeated Thefts Target Flats in Seraikela Society
Flats 104 and 304 Robbed Again in Seraikela’s Enclave
CCTV footage captures thieves as police investigate recurring burglaries in the same flats in Seraikela.
Key Points:
- Flats 104 and 304 targeted in recurring thefts.
- CCTV footage shows thieves clearly.
- Previous robbery in the same flats remains unsolved.
SERAIKELA – Flats 104 and 304 in Seraikela’s Enclave Society have again become targets of theft. This marks a repeat of a burglary pattern in the same flats last year.
Thieves struck last night, breaking into the two unoccupied flats. The homeowners, R.A. Bahadur and Apurva Sahay, were informed by neighbors. CCTV cameras captured the intruders, giving police clear visuals of the suspects. Law enforcement officials from RIT police station have launched an investigation.
Recurring Pattern of Robberies
This incident is not isolated. A similar burglary in March of last year targeted five flats in the same society, including 104 and 304. Despite the formation of an SIT led by then-SP Manish Toppo, those cases remain unresolved.
Residents noted that the thieves seem to favor flats left unoccupied for extended periods. This raises concerns about security measures in the society.
Broader Issues in the Area
In another related case, thieves targeted five flats in Sai Kalpana Society under Adityapur police jurisdiction on January 1. This crime also remains unsolved. Residents expressed frustration over repeated thefts and inadequate outcomes from police efforts.
The police have assured action based on the CCTV footage. Meanwhile, society members urge stricter surveillance to prevent such incidents.
