Leopard Sighting Confirmed in Kadma Biodiversity Park, Jamshedpur on High Alert

The presence of a leopard in the Biodiversity Park located in Kadma, Jamshedpur, has been confirmed by the joint team of the Forest Department and Tata Steel UISL following a thorough investigation, prompting the administration to issue an alert and an advisory for the residents.
JAMSHEDPUR – The joint team of the Forest Department and Tata Steel UISL has confirmed the presence of a leopard in the Biodiversity Park located in Kadma, Jamshedpur, after conducting a continuous investigation.
The confirmation was made based on the examination of a video footage provided by a witness and the verification of the witness’s statement.
Administration Issues Alert and Advisory
Following the confirmation, the administration has issued an alert in Jamshedpur and has advised the residents to take necessary precautions. The Tata Zoo officials are also assisting the Forest Department in tracking the movement of the leopard.
The Forest Department is being helped by the officials of the Tata Zoo too. They have urged the residents to follow the advisory issued by the administration and take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

The advisory issued by the Forest Department and the administration includes several safety measures such as not leaving children alone outside the house, going out in groups of at least four to five adults at night, reducing the time spent taking cattle to pasture, using noise-producing devices around the neck of cattle, not leaving pets alone outside the house, avoiding bushy areas in the evening or morning, keeping the surroundings clean and well-lit, and not going out alone while intoxicated.
The Forest Department advisory asked the residents to follow these safety measures and contact the Forest Department immediately if they have any information about the leopard.
The Advisory also urges the residents not to believe any kind of misleading news and to rely only on official sources for information.

- Do not leave children alone outside the house.
- Go out of the house for any purpose at night in a group of at least four-five adults.
- Reduce the time when taking cattle to pasture. Go in a group of less than four-five adult persons.
- Use a noise producing device around the neck of cattle.
- Do not leave your pets alone outside the house.
- In bushy areas in the evening or Do not go out for defecation in the morning.
- Do not collect kitchen waste around your houses, as it invites stray dogs to the place, which in turn creates the possibility of leopard movement.
- Keep the bushes near the houses clean and maintain lighting outside the house and in the streets.
- Do not go out of the house alone while intoxicated.
