Leopard Sighting Causes Stir in Adityapur Industrial Area
Elusive Leopard Prowls Engineering Firms, Prompting Company Shutdowns
A leopard’s presence in the Adityapur Industrial Area has alarmed local businesses, especially engineering companies, where it has been repeatedly sighted, leading to significant disruptions.
JAMSHEDPUR – The wild leopard, first spotted on Sunday at RCB Transmission Plant 1, has since evaded capture by the Forest Department, continuing its unexpected visits across the industrial zone.
By Monday, the animal’s movements were recorded in Khosla Engineering and Bebco Motors, intensifying concerns among the area’s entrepreneurs.
The repeated sightings and the inability of the Forest Department’s rescue team to locate the leopard have resulted in a wave of panic throughout the business community.
In response to the growing threat, the district administration has mandated the temporary closure of affected companies, a decision that has had a substantial financial impact, with losses reported in the lakhs.
CCTV footage has confirmed the leopard’s presence within these locations, but despite these clues, the Forest Department has yet to succeed in its capture efforts.
The ongoing situation has put a spotlight on the challenges of managing wildlife encounters in urban and industrial settings, prompting discussions on how to ensure both human safety and animal welfare.
