Jharkhand Faces Yellow Alert for Rain

Heavy rain, thunderstorms expected in Jharkhand on March 30 and 31

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in Jharkhand, forecasting heavy rain with thunderstorms and strong winds for March 30 and 31, urging residents to exercise caution.

JAMSHEDPUR – The yellow alert predicts deteriorating weather conditions across Jharkhand, with light to moderate rain anticipated in various locations on March 30 and 31.

A cyclonic circulation in northeastern Assam and its vicinity, along with a trough from North Karnataka to Vidarbha, has been identified as influencing the weather.

Additionally, a fresh western disturbance in the western Himalayan region is expected to become active starting March 29.

Another cyclonic circulation over western Rajasthan and adjacent areas contributes to the changing weather patterns in Jharkhand.

These conditions are linked to a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal, affecting weather across the state.

The forecast warns of light to moderate rain and possible thunderstorms in isolated areas of Jharkhand during the alert period.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant for thunderstorms during the adverse weather conditions.

Similar weather patterns are expected in Rajasthan, Odisha, and Bihar, extending the impact beyond Jharkhand.

The public is urged to stay informed on weather updates and take necessary precautions to ensure safety amid the predicted heavy rain and thunderstorms.
