Seraikela Launches Voter Awareness Campaign with Mobile LED Displays
Voter Education Drive Enhances Election Participation in Seraikela District
The District Public Relations Office in Seraikela has embarked on a novel initiative to boost voter turnout and education through the deployment of a mobile LED display, known as the ‘Voter Awareness Rath’. This effort is part of a broader campaign to familiarize the local populace with the voting process using modern electronic voting systems.
SERAIKELA – In a concerted effort to enhance electoral participation, Seraikela’s District Public Relations Office has introduced the ‘Voter Awareness Rath’, a mobile LED vehicle designed to educate voters on the electoral process.
Today’s campaign focused on the villages of Bandu, Bana, and Barasijulata within the Rajnagar block, where demonstrations of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) were conducted.
Residents were presented with audio and video demonstrations detailing the functionalities of EVMs and VVPATs, including how to effectively use these devices during voting.
Particular emphasis was placed on ensuring that disabled and women voters received tailored information to aid their understanding and participation in the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections.
The initiative also highlighted the significance of voting, urging 100% voter turnout and explaining the critical role each vote plays in a democratic society.
First-time voters received special encouragement, with promises of recognition from local authorities for being the first to vote at their respective polling stations.
Moreover, transparency in the voting process was stressed with explanations on how VVPAT ensures voter confidence by providing a physical audit trail.
Additionally, the outreach included instructions on using the C Vigil app to report any election-related grievances or violations, reinforcing the commitment to a fair electoral process.
By employing such interactive and mobile educational tools, Seraikela aims not only to inform but also to motivate its citizens to actively participate in the democratic process.
