Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Gears Up for Dumri By-Election and Lok Sabha Polls

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha sets its eyes on the Dumri by-election and Lok Sabha polls, discussing strategy and party strengthening in a central committee meeting.

RANCHI – The Central Working Committee of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) held a key meeting at Sohrai Bhavan, Ranchi, presided over by party president Shibu Soren.

Senior party leader, Vinod Kumar Pandey, addressing the press post-meeting, emphasized the coalition government’s role in the state and JMM’s position as the elder brother.

Preparations for Dumri By-Election

The forthcoming by-election in Dumri assembly was a focal point of the meeting.

Party president Shibu Soren provided instructions for the election campaign and tasked the Bokaro district to form a booth-level committee within a month.

Party leaders and workers were directed to immediately begin preparations for the Dumri by-election.

Discussion on Government Schemes Promotion

The meeting also addressed the responsibility of office bearers from booth to central level to strengthen the organization.

Review of the party’s membership drive, future plans, and the promotion of government schemes were highlighted, aiming to reach a membership target of 50 lakh.

Formation of Party Committee

Looking ahead to the Lok Sabha elections, Vidhansabha elections, and Dumri by-election, strategies for increasing party strength and outreach were discussed.

Shibu Soren instructed district presidents to fortify the organization at every booth, panchayat, and district.

A committee declaration for the party is expected within 15 days.

Last Word on Coalition Politics

Party spokesperson Vinod Pandey clarified JMM’s role in the coalition government in Jharkhand, emphasizing the party’s intention to retain its leadership role during seat sharing for the forthcoming polls.
