JNAC Leads Campaign to Remove Political Banners in Sakchi
Model Code of Conduct Spurs Banner Removal Drive in Jamshedpur
Following the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has initiated a campaign to remove political party banners and posters in Sakchi and Dhatkidih, acting on directives from the District Commissioner (DC).
JAMSHEDPUR – The municipal bodies in Mango and Jugsalai are yet to commence their campaign to dismantle political banners, highlighting a noticeable breach of the model code of conduct in these areas.
Despite JNAC’s efforts in Sakchi and Dhatkidih, banner posters of political parties continue to be displayed extensively throughout the city, reflecting a partial compliance with the election commission’s regulations.
This enforcement action, mandated by the DC, aims to ensure a level playing field for all political parties and adherence to the electoral guidelines set forth for the Lok Sabha elections.
JNAC’s campaign represents a significant step towards upholding the integrity of the electoral process, though challenges remain in ensuring city-wide compliance.
The removal of political banners and posters by JNAC in key areas of Jamshedpur underlines the commitment to enforcing the Model Code of Conduct in the lead-up to the national elections.
