Block-Level Interface Meeting Bridges Gap between Officials and Women
‘Women Gaining Ground’ Program Promotes Health and Safety Awareness
JAMSHEDPUR – Today, an impactful block level interface meeting, part of the ‘Women Gaining Ground’ program, was conducted by the social organization Yuva (Youth Unity for Voluntary Action) and CREA.
This meeting brought together block level officials and young women, girls, and disabled women from the Panchayat.
Anjana Devgam, the Project Coordinator, commenced the session by shedding light on the program’s progress.
The women engaged in candid discussions with Dr. Sukant Seet regarding health concerns.
Dr. Seet provided comprehensive insights on menopause, breast cancer, abortion, and malnutrition.
He also informed them about weekly checkups at the Community Health Center for sexual reproductive health issues.
Potka SI Jugesh Singh encouraged the young women to take a stand against violence and discrimination.
He emphasized the importance of self-leadership and active participation in creating societal change.
The assurance of support from the police was reinforced, with the recent appointment of women police officers in the station.
Singh urged the women to approach the police fearlessly for assistance.
The event also saw active contributions from youth members Chandmani Samvaiyaan, Chandrakala Munda, Rila Sardar, and Avanti Sardar, ensuring its success.
