B.Com Honors student from Co-operative College, Jamshedpur, drowns in river incident.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident, Varun Bagchi, a B.Com student from Jamshedpur, lost his life due to drowning in a river during an outing with friends.

Varun, a B.Com Honors student at Co-operative College and a resident of the Sonari police station area, had gone to Dobo with six friends on Sunday.

While bathing in the river, he ventured into deeper water, leading to his drowning despite his friends’ attempts to save him.

Divers nearby assisted in retrieving Varun from the water, and he was rushed to MGM and then to TMH, where he was declared dead by doctors.

The police, upon receiving information, arrived at the hospital, took custody of the body, and initiated an investigation into the incident.
