TMH Hosts Pioneering Vascular Surgery Event
First-of-its-kind workshop and CME in Jamshedpur on vascular emergencies and suturing
The Clinical Society of Tata Main Hospital, in collaboration with the Vascular Society of India and the Jamshedpur Surgery Society, conducted a landmark Continuing Medical Education event and vascular suturing workshop on March 23, 2024.
JAMSHEDPUR – Aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of medical practitioners in vascular emergencies, this half-day event attracted nearly 150 participants from Jamshedpur and beyond.
Organized under the guidance of Air Vice Marshal (Dr) Sudhir Rai (Retd), a renowned Vascular surgeon, and hosted at the TMH Auditorium, the event marked a significant advancement in medical education in the region.
Dr. Prashant Raman and Col (Dr) Shivraj Singh Chauhan played key roles in organizing this event, highlighting the importance of vascular surgery as a critical medical specialty at TMH.
The workshop featured esteemed speakers like Dr. Tapish Sahu and Dr. Ravikumar B L, who shared insights into common vascular issues and the latest techniques in vascular suturing.
Participants received hands-on training, enhancing their understanding of vascular emergencies, the importance of timely interventions, and the comprehensive services offered by vascular surgeons.
The event also celebrated the introduction of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery as a separate super-specialty at TMH, making advanced vascular care accessible to a wider audience.
This pioneering initiative reflects TMH’s commitment to improving healthcare services and offering state-of-the-art medical training in Jamshedpur and the surrounding areas.
