JAMSHEDPUR – Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) has launched a Life Saver Training Programme, a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing public safety and healthcare accessibility in the Jamshedpur region.
Thirty-two individuals received essential medical treatment and life-saving training, focusing on basic life support skills.
The training targeted bus drivers, security personnel, and support staff, empowering them to act as first responders in emergencies.
Key figures like Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Ayan Pati, Dr. Shyamal Maiti, and workshop leader Dr. Anjaneyulu Kanauri, along with other specialists, facilitated the training at the college’s mechanical lab.
The programme underscores MTMC’s commitment to public safety and the empowerment of community members as lifesavers in critical situations.
Looking forward, MTMC plans to expand the initiative to include more groups through partnerships with Life Saver Training Organizations.
