Jamshedpur’s cleanliness initiatives aim for top marks in the upcoming Swachh Survekshan 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – The focus on waste management is intensifying in Jamshedpur, with a spotlight on wet waste, predominantly processed at the City Compost Plant in Jubilee Park.

Plans are underway to enhance the CH area Waste Transfer Station with a Material Recovery Facility for sorting and processing dry waste mechanically.

An educational visit exposed students to waste management practices, including a future facility for sorting dry waste.

The transformation of a former legacy waste dump into the picturesque Dalma View Point garden exemplifies successful waste management.

Students from Cooperative College learned about the city’s waste management strategies, including advanced garbage collection and processing.

Educators Dr. Alok Suman and Jagannath Mahapatra shared insights on RFID garbage collection and waste segregation with the students.

During the visit, students were informed about the RFID-based door-to-door garbage collection system in Northern Town.

About 26 students and faculty from Cooperative College embarked on a tour to explore solid waste management firsthand.

The theme "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" sets the tone for Jamshedpur’s efforts in the Swachh Survekshan 2024, aiming for excellence in cleanliness and sustainability.
