Joint meeting held to address previous shortcomings and strategize for upcoming survey.

JAMSHEDPUR – In preparation for Swachh Survekshan 2024, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee and Tata Steel UISL (Jusco) have initiated comprehensive efforts to improve the city’s cleanliness rankings.

On Monday, a joint meeting chaired by Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar was held at the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee office.

The meeting focused on rectifying the shortcomings identified in the previous survey and devising a strategic plan for the upcoming Swachh Survekshan.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner emphasized the importance of collecting and disposing of waste from every household in the city.

He highlighted the need for Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee and Jusco to work on the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R).

By adhering to the 3R theme, Jamshedpur aims to achieve a top ranking in the Swachh Survekshan.

Currently, Jamshedpur holds the ODF Plus certification.

In light of the upcoming survey, another joint meeting will be held soon at the ground level to finalize the action plan.

Swachh Survekshan 2024 will be conducted in three rounds, with a total of 9500 points up for grabs.
