JAMSHEDPUR – On Saturday morning, a car struck two school children near Mango’s Big Bazaar, leaving them seriously injured.
The accident occurred around 7:30 AM as the children, Ansh Gupta (8) and his sister Riddhi Gupta (17), were being taken to Kerala Public School on a scooter by their father, Ayush Gupta.
The car, whose registration number was reported to the police, suddenly collided with the scooter, causing severe injuries to both children.
Ansh sustained a serious head injury, while Riddhi suffered facial injuries and a broken leg.
They were immediately rushed to MGM Hospital, where they are receiving emergency treatment.
The driver of the car initially stopped and promised to meet the family at the hospital but left the scene and is now unreachable, with his phone switched off.
The children’s father, Ayush Gupta, has filed a formal complaint at Mango Police Station against the driver.
The family resides near Dimna Chowk, and both children are students at Kerala Public School, Mango. Ansh is in 2nd grade, while Riddhi is in 10th grade.
