RANCHI – The Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Champai Soren, held a meeting of his cabinet members as well as the MLAs of the ruling coalition to discuss the key issues before the oncoming budget session of the Assembly starting Friday, February 23.
The Jharkhand Assembly is all set for its Budget session starting Friday, with Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto spearheading a preparatory all-party meeting.
The Champai Soren administration is set to present its inaugural budget on February 27.
Spanning seven working days, the session is scheduled to conclude on March 2.
Key political figures, including Chief Minister Champai Soren and Leader of the Opposition Amar Bauri, partook in the discussions.

The transition to Champai Soren’s leadership follows Hemant Soren’s resignation amid legal challenges.

The session will also see participation from 12 Congress MLAs, signaling intra-party conciliation efforts.
Their return from Delhi marks a tentative resolution to demands for cabinet reshuffling within the Congress representation.
