SAFE Club Initiates Stress Management Session for School Students in Jamshedpur
The Safety Awareness for Everyone club organized a session on managing emotional stress and addiction prevention for school students in Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Safety Awareness for Everyone (SAFE) club organized a session on stress management for school students at Kudy Mahanty Auditorium.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about handling stress among young students.
The Chief Guest for the event was Ms Mili Sinha, Principal of JUSCO School South Park and a core committee member of SAFE, who was joined by Dr Manoj Sahoo, Senior Consultant and HOD Psychiatry TMH.
The focus of the session was ‘Dealing with Emotional Stress and Addiction – Prevention and Awareness.
A total of 290 students, accompanied by SAFE club coordinators from 27 schools, attended the event.
Dr Manoj Sahoo, the session’s faculty, discussed various coping techniques that students can use to alleviate stress.
Ms Mili Sinha urged students to take full advantage of the session by making it interactive.
Mr Sunil Kumar, Head of Workplace Safety at Tata Steel, welcomed the participants and set the context for the sessions.
Ms Mom Mitra, Convener of SAFE, revealed that the session’s target audience was students from standards VIII to XII.
SAFE will continue organizing such sessions with topics relevant to children.
There were quizzes in the sessions, and the winners received token gifts.
SAFE is a conglomerate of Jamshedpur schools, chaired by Ms Ruchi Narendran, and Tata Steel facilitates this initiative by organizing various safety initiatives for schools through an annual plan.
