Tilka Majhi’s Legacy Honored in Jamshedpur
274th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Tilka Majhi celebrated by JMM in East Singhbhum.
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha commemorated Baba Tilka Majhi, a pioneer in India’s freedom struggle, in Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s East Singhbhum District Committee marked the 274th anniversary of Baba Tilka Majhi, hailed as India’s initial freedom fighter.
Senior leader Sheikh Badruddin emphasized Majhi’s role as the inaugural rebel against British rule, urging contemporary society to draw inspiration from his bravery.
The celebration saw participation from notable figures like Birsih Suren, Arun Prasad, and Gurmeet Singh Gill among others, underlining the community’s reverence for Majhi’s legacy.
The event underscored the importance of remembering the contributions of early freedom fighters in shaping the nation’s history.
Attendees including D Rakesh Rao, Rajkumar Prasad, and Laxman Murmu, reflected on Majhi’s significance in the freedom movement.
The gathering served as a reminder of the courage and sacrifice of Baba Tilka Majhi and his pivotal role in the freedom movement.
