JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal recently spearheaded an essential meeting at the Collectorate Hall, focusing on refining the electoral process for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The session centered on the strategic inclusion of essential service workers, highlighting the necessity for comprehensive voter registration.

Mittal’s directive for a meticulous list of personnel eligible for postal voting underscores the administration’s dedication to a seamless electoral experience.

An emphasis was placed on facilitating voting for the elderly and individuals with disabilities, ensuring accessible voting arrangements are in place.

The systematic creation of voting rosters for all officers and employees was mandated to ensure no one misses their right to vote.

The need for essential service workers to ensure their voter registration reflects their current residence was stressed, aiming for accuracy in the electoral rolls.

An active campaign to engage families and relatives of essential service personnel in the voting process was encouraged, fostering a communal spirit of democratic participation.

Officials at the meeting, including notable figures like Special Officer Subdivision Deepu Kumar and Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Manjhi, were tasked with executing these strategies to guarantee a smooth voting process.

Utilization of the helpline number 1950 for voting-related inquiries was promoted to assist voters in need.

The directive for ensuring 100% voter registration among essential service personnel, along with the inclusion of shift workers, was highlighted as a key goal.
