State Initiates Awareness Campaign for Revised Pension Scheme and Lowering of Age
The Jharkhand government announces a reduction in the Chief Minister Old Age Pension Scheme’s eligibility age from 60 to 50 years, launching a widespread awareness initiative.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand government has officially lowered the eligibility age for the Chief Minister Old Age Pension Scheme from 60 to 50 years.
Instructions for a publicity and awareness campaign have been issued by the Chief Secretary of the state.
An awareness chariot was dispatched from the East Singhbhum district headquarters to tour all blocks.
The launch was conducted on Friday by Ananya Mittal.
The awareness chariot is scheduled to visit every block and panchayat from 20th to 22nd February.
The aim is to educate potential beneficiaries about the scheme.
Online application for the pension scheme will open on 26th February.
JSLPS, ration dealers, Panchayat servants, and other staff are tasked with facilitating the campaign.
The initiative emphasizes ensuring no eligible beneficiary misses out on this public welfare scheme.
