Jamshedpur’s Rankini Temple Marks 60 Years with Grand Festivities
Rankini Temple in Kadma commemorates its 60th anniversary with traditional fervor, engaging the community in rituals and charity.
JAMSHEDPUR – Rankini Temple, Kadma’s oldest and most revered shrine, recently marked a significant milestone, celebrating the 60th anniversary of Maa Rankini’s consecration.
This annual event, rooted in tradition since 1964, honors Maa Kali’s foundation day as a prestigious festival.
The ceremonies included a grand bathing ritual, anointment with Panchamrit, and dressing the deity in new attire followed by prayers, offerings, and a fire ritual.
The temple’s commitment to community service was highlighted during the Daridra Narayan Bhoj, where over 300 underprivileged individuals received meals.
Clothing and monetary donations were distributed to the needy, reflecting the temple’s charitable spirit.
The successful event was orchestrated by a dedicated team, including senior and junior members, under the guidance of Temple President Dilip Das and General Secretary Janardan Pandey.
Notably, Vice President K.G. Govind and members N. Kumar, P.K. Lion, S. Ramesh, Deepak Biswas, and others played key roles in the celebration.
Rankini Temple’s deep cultural and spiritual significance to the people of Jamshedpur and surrounding regions was once again underscored through this celebration.
