Jamshedpur witnesses a slight temperature drop, sporadic rain, offering cooler air, amidst diverse weather patterns and dense fog disrupting traffic across Jharkhand.
RANCHI – Residents of Jamshedpur are experiencing cooler weather with sporadic rains as temperatures dip marginally, according to the latest report from the Meteorological Centre, Ranchi.
The steel city recorded a comfortable minimum temperature of 15.0°C and a maximum of 22.6°C, marking a subtle change in weather conditions.
Despite the temperature drop, Jamshedpur has a spattering of rainfall, contrasting with the sporadic rains across other parts of Jharkhand.
While Jamshedpur enjoys cooler weather, Simdega and Chakradharpur in Jharkhand reported significant rainfall, with 54.4 mm and 52.2 mm respectively.
In contrast, northern Jharkhand remains dry and stable, highlighting the state’s varied weather patterns.
Bokaro and Dhanbad experienced light showers, while Ranchi observed clear skies with a daytime high of 22.1°C and a nighttime low of 14.5°C.
Jharkhand is currently facing cold conditions and dense fog, severely impacting visibility and disrupting air and rail traffic.
Visibility near Ranchi Airport was as low as 50 meters this morning, affecting flights and trains, with some flights diverted to Bhubaneswar.
Despite the challenging weather, schools remain open, requiring children to venture out in foggy conditions.
The Meteorological Centre, Ranchi, has issued advisories for slow driving and extra care for children and the elderly due to the adverse weather.
On the other hand, cloudy skies have led to a rise in minimum temperatures across the state, with West Singhbhum recording the highest and Gumla the lowest temperatures in the last 24 hours.
