RANCHI – On Thursday, Jharkhand, including the Kolhan region, experienced cloudy weather, with varying sunshine and shadow in Jamshedpur and surrounding areas.
The highest temperature recorded was 38.7 degrees Celsius in Godda.
In Jamshedpur, the maximum temperature reached 35.7 degrees, while the minimum was 27.7 degrees.
West Singhbhum recorded 38 degrees, Saraikela 37.2 degrees, and Ranchi 33.4 degrees.
Dr. Abhishek Anand from the Meteorological Department Ranchi Center reported that the Southwest Monsoon has advanced further, entering Chhattisgarh, Odisha, North West Bay of Bengal, Mountainous West Bengal, and parts of Bihar.
The monsoon is expected to reach Jharkhand between June 22 and 23.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain in various districts on June 21.
Affected districts include Gumla, Palamu, Chatra, Koderma, Giridih, Deoghar, Dumka, Simdega, Pakur, Godda, Jamtara, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Latehar, Lohardaga, Dumla, Khunti, Simdega, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Saraikela-Kharsawan.
During this period, wind speeds are expected to range between 40 to 50 km per hour.
