Goods Train Derailment at Tatanagar Affects Several Express Trains
Early Tuesday, a goods train derailment at Tatanagar station caused significant disruptions, impacting numerous passenger trains.
JAMSHEDPUR – A significant railway disruption occurred at Tatanagar station on Tuesday morning following the derailment of three goods train coaches.
This incident on Line Number 9 led to substantial interruptions in rail operations, affecting both up and down lines.
The derailment’s impact was particularly felt on passenger trains heading to and from Tatanagar.
Among the affected trains, Train No. 12129 Pune Howrah Express and Train No. 12809 Mumbai-Howrah Express, currently halted at Adityapur, stand out.
Other major trains facing disruptions include the 15022 Gorakhpur Shalimar Express and the 12802 New Delhi Puri Purushottam Express.
Also, the 13288 Rajendra Nagar Durg South Bihar Express and the 18114 Bilaspur Tata Express have been impacted.
Train services such as the 28182 Katihar Tata Express and the 18029 Lokmanya Tilak Shalimar Express have experienced delays.
The derailment also affected the 12859 Mumbai-Howrah Geetanjali Express and the 12833 Ahmedabad Howrah Express.
Other trains, including the 08146 Raulkela-Tata Express and the 12834 Howrah Ahmedabad Express, have been similarly disrupted.
The 12262 Howrah Mumbai Express also joins the list of affected services.
Responding to the situation, the Railways have canceled Train No. 08162 Chakradharpur Tata Express and Train No. 08161, as part of their contingency measures.
