South Eastern Railway Announces Multiple Train Cancellations
Line Blocks and Repairs Affect Services Across Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha

JAMSHEDPUR – The South Eastern Railway Zone has announced the cancellation and rerouting of several trains due to planned repair works and line blocks, affecting travel across multiple states.
"These temporary disruptions are necessary for critical infrastructure maintenance," stated a railway spokesperson.
Key Service Interruptions:
Santragachi-Andul Line Block (Saturday):
– Howrah-Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express cancelled
– Howrah-Titlagarh Ispat Express cancelled
– Jagdalpur-Howrah Sambaleshwari Koraput Express cancelled
Kharkai River Bridge Repair (Saturday):
– Tatanagar to Hatia, Barkakana, Purulia, and Guwa services cancelled
– Dhanbad-Tatanagar Swarnarekha Express and Asansol-Tatanagar MEMU truncated
Adra Division Line Block:
– Dhanbad-Jhargram MEMU cancelled on Monday, July 7
– Jhargram-Purulia MEMU cancelled on July 8, 15, and 16
– Purushottam Express rerouted, bypassing Bokaro
"Passengers are strongly advised to verify their train status before travel," the spokesperson added.
These cancellations are expected to significantly impact travelers in Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha regions.
Railway authorities urge passengers to stay informed and make alternative arrangements where necessary.
