Corona claims 1 more life on Saturday in Jharkhand, total deaths 979

196 new cases detected, 288 patients cured, mortality 0.88%, recovery 97.41%

Ranchi: After claiming 1 life on Friday in Jharkhand, coronavirus did the same on Saturday too. With one more person succumbing to the pandemic on Saturday in Jharkhand, the total death toll for the state has now reached 979.

According to official data, 196 new coronavirus positive cases were also detected in different parts of the state. The total number of infections in the state have now reached 1,10,186. On the other hand, 288 persons were also cured and discharged in the state. The total number of recoveries in the state has now reached 1,07,362.

As per official data, till date, the state has tested 43,19,581 samples. Out of these, 1,10,186 samples have tested positive. On the other hand, 1,07,362 have also been cured. For now the state has only 1,845 active cases of coronavirus infections.

The recovery rate in the state has now reached 97.41% till Saturday, while the mortality rate is 0.88%.

East Singhbhum remains the most affected district of Jharkhand. However, on Saturday, corona did not cause any death in the district.
