Rotary Clubs Unite to Provide Slippers in Jamshedpur
‘Every Feet Must Have a Slipper’ Campaign Aids Disadvantaged
Assistant governor Anjani Nidhi leads Rotary Clubs of Jamshedpur and Chaibasa Zone 18 in ‘Every Feet Must Have a Slipper’ campaign, distributing over 1000 pairs of slippers to those in need, highlighting the necessity of basic footwear.
JAMSHEDPUR – Prominent figures including Sanjeev and Anupama Sehgal, J.B. Singh, Rishi, Dipti Singh, and Binod Agarwal actively participated in the slipper distribution event.
Past District Governor Pratim Banerjee, along with Assistant Governor Anjani Nidhi, Rotary Club Jamshedpur West president Neeta Agarwal, and secretary Ashok Kr Jha, graced the occasion, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the initiative.
This collective effort saw essential footwear being provided to underprivileged people across various parts of Jamshedpur, aiming to enhance their well-being.
Over 1000 pairs of slippers were distributed by the Rotary Clubs in a display of solidarity and compassion.
On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West extended their support to the residents of Chimti Village in Bodam.
Each family in the village received a generous package of 150 pairs of slippers, accompanied by bananas, cupcakes, bhujia, and laddus.
A recent survey in railway stations, areas inhabited by homeless individuals, and temple vicinities revealed the stark lack of proper footwear, emphasizing the critical need for this fundamental item in daily life.
Assistant Governor Anjani Nidhi spearheaded the ‘Every Feet Must Have a Slipper’ campaign, launched by the Rotary Clubs of Jamshedpur and Chaibasa Zone 18, to provide slippers to the needy.
