A surprise raid conducted by SDO Parul Singh and the Mango police at the dance bar of a Hotel on National Highway 33 in Mango has led to the detention of 10 girls hailing from Haryana, West Bengal, and Maharashtra.
JAMSHEDPUR – A surprise raid was conducted at the dance bar of a hotel on NH 33 that led to rescue of at least 10 girls hailing from different states.
The raid, which caught the dance bar staff off guard, resulted in chaos as the bouncers managed to flee the scene.
The detained girls, who hail from cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bangalore, have been brought in for questioning.
During the interrogation, the girls revealed that they had only arrived at the dance bar a week ago.
“The people running the dance bar are very cunning. They change the girls every week,” said a police official involved in the raid.
Apart from the 10 girls, two managers of the dance bar have been arrested by the police.
The raiding team also recovered a substantial quantity of foreign liquor, beer, laptops, and other documents from the premises.
The SDO team had strategically posed as customers to gain entry into the dance bar before making the arrests.
As the raid unfolded, the customers present at the venue fled the scene, leaving behind their unfinished drinks on the tables.
The dance bar reportedly had around 10 bouncers, who managed to escape during the commotion.
The raid has exposed the illegal activities taking place at the Royal Hills Hotel dance bar and has raised questions about the involvement of the management in the operation.
Further investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the racket and to identify and apprehend those involved in running the illegal establishment.
The police have assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits to ensure that such illegal activities are curbed in the region.
