Health Minister Banna Gupta Highlights Jharkhand’s Rich Culture at Sonari Domuhani Tusu Fair
Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta emphasized the importance of cultural heritage in defining the state’s identity at the grand Tusu fair organized by the Jharkhand Cultural Arts Center in Sonari Domuhani.
JAMSHEDPUR – Health Minister Banna Gupta, as the chief guest at the Tusu fair in Sonari Domuhani, lauded Jharkhand’s rich art and culture.
He recognized the state’s cultural heritage as its identity.
He said: “Domuhani has now become the center of religious and cultural heritage, once again on March 8 Mahashivratri, a great confluence of faith will be organized which will be historic and grand."
Jharkhand Cultural Arts Center participated in the huge Tusu fair organized at Sonari Domuhani on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
Gupta announced the organization of Ganga Aarti on Mahashivratri, March 8, in Domuhani, symbolizing the blessings of Bholenath on Jharkhand.
During the event, he awarded participants who brought Tusu statues to the fair.
Distinguished guests, including former MP Suman Mahato and State Minority Commission Chairman Hidayat Khan, attended the ceremony.
The event featured awards for the best Tusu statues, presented by various committees.
Shri Sarvajanik Maa Mansa Puja Committee received the first prize of Rs. 31,000.
Other winners included Shri Shri Annapurna Maa Mansa Puja Committee and Shri Ganesh Puja Committee, with prizes of Rs. 21,000 and Rs. 15,000, respectively.
Vanipani Club was awarded the fourth prize of Rs. 11,000.
Additionally, a Rs. 2,000 prize was given to the first team entering the fair, with consolation prizes for other participants.
Prominent community members like Dhananjay Mahato and Akhilesh Mahato were present at this celebration of Jharkhand’s cultural spirit.
