Union Minister Arjun Munda to Lay Foundation Stone for Rs 10 Crore Project
In a significant step towards preserving and promoting tribal culture and heritage, a dedicated center will be established in Jojodih Panchayat, near Padampur village, Kharsawan, with Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, set to lay the foundation stone for the project.
SERAIKELA – The Union Minister of Tribal Affairs is all set to lay the foundation of a Tribal Culture and Heritage Centre in Kharsawan on Saturday.
The center would be set up in the Jojodih Panchayat of the district.
Spanning an area of approximately two and a half acres, the center aims to serve as a hub for the preservation and promotion of tribal culture and heritage, featuring comprehensive facilities and resources dedicated to showcasing the diverse traditions, art forms, and customs of tribal communities.
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, has granted approval for this initiative, allocating an initial budget of Rs 10 crore for the project’s first phase. Future plans for the center will also be deliberated upon subsequently.
Scheduled for March 16, the foundation stone laying ceremony will be conducted online from New Delhi at 10 am, marking a crucial milestone in safeguarding the rich cultural heritage of the tribal communities.
