Kunal Sarangi Advocates for Reforms in Law, Health, and Sports with President Murmu

Former MLA and BJP spokesperson Kunal Sarangi met President Draupadi Murmu, presenting key concerns and suggestions for national improvement, including legal reforms, health, education, rail development, and sports infrastructure in tribal areas.

JAMSHEDPUR – Kunal Sarangi, representing BJP, held discussions with President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, focusing on significant national issues.

Sarangi raised concerns about the PMLA Act, stressing the need to preserve the federal structure and questioning the Lok Sabha’s recent constitutional changes.

He advocated for a careful review of a new law in the Indian Judicial Code that could criminalize consensual relationships, proposing the establishment of a Men’s Commission to address increasing male harassment cases.

Sarangi underscored the inadequate health facilities in Jamshedpur, proposing the establishment of an AIIMS satellite center to elevate the local healthcare system.

He emphasized the importance of preserving tribal culture and requested the establishment of a tribal university in Ghatshila sub-division.

The BJP spokesperson urged the acceleration of the Chakulia-Badamara rail line project, citing its inclusion in the Railway Board’s plans and awaiting Cabinet approval for the 2024-25 budget.

He proposed the creation of a national-level sports academy in East Singhbhum district, focusing on football, hockey, and archery, to harness the region’s potential.

President Murmu assured that she would consider these issues further after consulting relevant departments.

Sarangi extended advance wishes to President Murmu for the upcoming Makar Sankranti and Tusu festival, along with New Year 2024.
